As a Certified Mortgage Specialist since 2003, I have a long record of serving my community. From building houses with my father as a child, to bidding on investment properties on the courthouse steps, I have an in-depth understanding of the real estate and mortgage markets and their many nuances.
Throughout my career, I have been successful in evaluating applicants against set criteria and educating consumers on various financial products. As Loan Originator and Certified Mortgage Specialist, I have experience assessing applicants’ qualifications for Conventional, Jumbo, FHA, and VA loans. Educating consumers on building wealth through homeownership and guiding people through the new lending guidelines are keys to my success in the industry.
Capitalizing on my Electronic Technology Associate degree from DeVry, I co-lead the design, development, sales and support of a national Distressed Property Software application. This system automated the application process for the Making Home Affordable program offered by the Obama administration to mitigate foreclosure for millions of Americans. By dramatically simplifying the qualification process, this solution enabled thousands of homeowners to reduce mortgage payments and retain homeownership.
Outside of work, I find great joy in raising my two sons, spending time with my family and giving back to my community. Some of my current and previous volunteer service includes organizations such as American Red Cross, GCAA (Georgia Community Action Association) and VDOGS.org (Dogs Healing the Hearts of Veterans).
What is often the biggest investment a family will make it is important to have a knowledgeable Certified Mortgage Specialist on your team to guide you through the home buying process, whether you’re a first time home buyer or just trying to understand the difference between a FHA, Conventional, VA, or Jumbo loan, I’m here to help.
